So my friend took me here for dinner and the food was really good. She didn't like kherheb him but this sake was served perfectly.

I had my favorite sushi ever here. The prices are more than affordable. I'm not a huge sushi fan but it must be since I had never had sushi this good. They also have chicken wings that were super tasty as well. BYOB is a big plus too!

This new place in north definitely gives a tough competition to the already existing sushi place.The sushi was definitely very good and the prices were competitive.My favorite was The Windy City, followed by Kamikaze, California rolls.They have free Miso soup which was my favorite, cause free food.The place is very cozy,the staff was extremely friendly, and the service was quick. Try their mochi collection.And yeah, they are BYOB.!!!

This is a great sushi place that serves traditional sushi where flavor of the fish is presented foremost and not drowned in sugary fatty sauce. It's one of my favorite sushi places in Chicago. Calm, relaxed atmosphere, good for romantic date or if you want to talk during dinner.

The appetizers were absolutely fantastic! Best miso soup, and pot stickers I've ever had, hands down! Wish I could say the same about their sushi rolls, though.

I never usually leave reviews for restaurants, but I've been walking past this place for months now and finally decided to give it a try and MAN I’m glad I did. I ordered the Spicy Shrimp Tempura Udon and the K2 Roll for delivery. The Udon was nicely packaged so none of the tempura was soggy and definitely lived up to the “spicy” of its name! So yummy. K2 Roll had three different colors of Roe which was mostly just fun for me as a lover of roe. The fish was great quality and the portion was pretty good for the price. Both items were incredibly delicious. I’m so glad to have found my new favorite sushi place in Lakeview!

Incredibly good sushi, and I cannot emphasize enough how the prices cannot be beat, especially during happy hour. Some sushi places try to feed you lots of rice or old sushi, but not this place! Sakae Sushi is the greatest sushi place I've ever been to in my life, and my only regret is that I live so far away. I'm going to be moving in this upcoming fall, and you better believe I will be moving somewhere closer to Sakae Sushi. That's how great this restaurant is. It is literally impacting my moving decisions. You will not regret trying this place.

Simply excellent service and taste for a neighborhood sushi spot. Family owned and the husband and wife are so lovely with a smile. Highly recommended this place.

Beginning to end this was an amazing experience. Nick greeted us with such warmth that immediately made you feel at home, he explained a couple of things to us and seeing how knowledgeable he was we decided to let him guide our night. He knew exactly what to bring us from the gyoza to the sashimi to the sake we drank and the mochi and green tea ice cream that finished us off. The cuts of fish were so fresh. The salmon felt like butter in my mouth and the tuna was soft as well. Honestly can't ask for more of a sushi place than this. If you decide to stop by give their hot and spicy chicken wings a chance too, they are fire. I was so full and couldn't think of eating more but when I smelled the wing I definitely knew I had to make room to taste it. Overall a great experience will definitely be coming back soon!

Have ordered delivery 5+ times and this place is FIRE. The spicy tuna roll is delicious because the actual tuna is spicy — not some globbed on sauce that makes it “spicy” like some other restaurants. The bulgogi is classic and tender. The chicken wings are amazing especially for delivery! Hot and saucy/sticky. This is the only spot I’ll order sushi from.
